UCI Gravel World Series - Regulations

UCI Gravel World Championship qualifier categories are noted in the registration categories and those Age Groups are defined by the rider’s age on December 31, 2025. Riders in the elite category must hold a UCI license and provide the UCI ID when registering. NO license is required for the UCI Age Group categories; however, riders who qualify for the UCI Gravel World Championships and choose to race must hold a valid license issued by USA Cycling for that race. Our event grants qualification rights for the UCI Gravel World Championships for those riders finishing in the top 3 of each official category as well as those finishing in the top 25% of each official category.
Elite riders and younger age groups (19-49) will ride the TUFFEST 85-100 Miles (137-160km).
Older age groups (50-84) will ride the TUFFER - 60-75 Miles (96-120km).

The official course map/navigation will be released the week of the event. This will give you time to prepare your navigation and study the route. It also gives us the flexibility to tweak the routes in the coming years. Below are some stats from 2022-24 to help you organize and plan.

Neutral

All routes will have a neutral roll from town to the first gravel segment. PLEASE attend or watch the rider’s meeting and listen to the day of the event instructions as we will explain the details of the neutral rollout for each route/course.

Support:

We want to build a TUFF community of gravel riders that can take on any event, although this might be the TUFFest. We encourage self-sufficiency with this event; however, there will be sufficient supplies and support at aid stations. More information regarding some course markings for 2025 to come.
